Pan-African Financing for Development Institute

Pan African Financing for Development Institute (PAFDI) is a continental think tank dedicated to addressing the priorities of the Addis Ababa Agenda for Action around Financing for Sustainable Development.

Overview

The organization explores issues around public and private finance; domestic and external resources to meet the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It promotes research and analysis, policy dialogue, innovation, capacity-building, technical and policy advice by working with a diversity of stakeholders including civil society, governments, academia, private sector and international development partners. Some of the areas explored by PAFDI include tax and public finance, illicit financial flows, development cooperation, climate finance, public-private partnerships, blended finance and impact investing. PAFDI is a non-profit organisation with members throughout Africa encompassing academics and professionals from both the business and public sectors. The policy think tank is founded by sector leaders to address economic and finance challenges of the continent.
